影片改编自爱德华多·德·菲利波创作的同名舞台剧，讲述那不勒斯是安东尼奥·巴拉卡诺的家乡，安东尼奥又是阿德里尤尼萨尼塔的市长，这位年轻、充满活力还喜欢文身的市长总是依照自己的规则来做事。。在科学的世界被称为超能力，在宗教的世界则被称为魔术。这是一部混合了看起来不相容的现实与非现实的世界观的作品。一边是有着夸张技术的机械学园都市，又是充斥着圣书和炼金术的宗教世界，作者将这宛如水与油的两个世界观同时加入到了作品中，成为了一部另类的SF作品。。An inept gang of bank robbers, led by George The Brain, are caught and sentenced to 15 years hard labour each. When they are released from prison they start out to collect the money they had stolen and which George had hidden in a hollow tree during the chase in which they were caught. The only trouble is that the tree was in the middle of a lonely lane when they were imprisone...。
