When a casino owning dog named Charlie is murdered by his rival Carface, he finds himself in Heaven basically by default since all dogs go to heaven. However, since he wants to get back at his killer, he cons his way back to the living with the warning that doing that damns him to Hell. Once back, he teams with his old partner, Itchy to prep his retaliation. He also stumbles on to an orphan girl who can talk to the animals, thus allowing him to get the inside info on the races to ensure his wins。陆小凤(刘永饰)忽闻当代两大剑客叶孤城(白彪饰)与西门吹雪(岳华饰)，将于月圆之夜在紫禁城决斗；陆小凤忖度两人均是识英雄重英雄之辈，素末谋面，现无利益冲突，当无决斗的必要，觉得这事其中必有跷蹊，与花满楼(孙建饰)及司空摘星等好友研究未果后，决定重金买消息并前往京城调查清楚，不料传闻传出西门吹雪将决战押后一个月的信息……。
